STEP 1: PREPARE THE TREATMENT AREA

Shave to remove all visible hair. Make sure there is no hair left on the skin surface to help optimize treatment and prevent debris from covering the front of the SMOOTHSKIN device.

Clean the treatment area and dry it thoroughly. Remember not to use any gel or cream with this device!

STEP 2: PERFORM A SKIN PATCH TEST

Before your first treatment on any new body area, we RECOMMEND testing the skin in that area to see how it responds to SMOOTHSKIN.

The test area should be about 3 cm x 2 cm in size (equivalent to 2 flashes applied to adjacent skin areas). Follow Step 3 to treat this area.

Wait 24 hours after the patch test to make sure your skin is suitable for treatment and does not show any adverse reaction to the light energy. If there is no reaction after 24 hours, you can treat the area around the test spot. Do NOT retreat the “skin patch test area” for at least 1 week.

STEP 3: TREAT WITH SMOOTHSKIN

• Plug the power supply into a wall socket. The fan will start and the skin tone sensors will light up green, indicating the device is on.
• Press the handheld device firmly against the treatment area to make sure the skin tone sensor is in contact with the skin – SMOOTHSKIN will not work if the skin sensor is not fully touching the skin. When the skin tone sensor detects a valid skin tone, the preset output power will be shown on the energy level indicator light.
• Press the trigger button. The device will flash and you will feel a warm sensation.
• Move the handheld device to the next area to be treated and repeat. The device needs to be recharged between flashes.
• Make sure you treat the ENTIRE area needed, but DO NOT overlap treatment pulses.

STEP 4: YOUR SMOOTHSKIN TREATMENT SCHEDULE
