Choose the right skin tone and hair color for at-home hair removal
The SmoothSkin Fit hair removal device is suitable for light, medium, and dark skin tones, including undertone 5. It uses a skin tone sensor to measure your skin color. If your skin tone is too dark, the device will not operate.
The SmoothSkin Fit at-home hair removal device is suitable for naturally black or brown hair. The device may not be effective on white, gray, blond, or red hair.
How to carry out at-home hair removal
Step 1: Prepare the treatment area
Shave all visible hair. Make sure there is no hair left on the skin surface, as hair can cause injury.
This also prevents debris from covering the front of the device.
Clean and dry the area to be treated. Remember not to use any gel or cream with this device!
Step 2: Perform a skin sensitivity test
Before treating any new body area for the first time, we recommend testing your skin’s reaction to SmoothSkin Fit.
Step 3: Treatment
- Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. The fan will start and the skin tone sensor will light up blue, indicating that the device is on.
- Press the handheld device firmly against the treatment area to ensure the skin tone sensor is in contact with the skin. If the skin tone sensor is not fully touching the skin, the device will not work. Once the sensor detects your skin tone, the preset output power will be displayed.
- Press the trigger button.
- Move to the next treatment area and repeat. The device needs to recharge between flashes.
- Make sure to treat the entire desired area, but do not overlap treatment pulses.
